Business Profile: Embracing Nostalgia with a Modern Twist: The Journey of Alsies of Alpharetta

In the heart of Alpharetta and its surrounding communities, Ron Bain is breathing new life into a beloved summertime tradition: the ice cream truck. As a seasoned entrepreneur, Ron is no stranger to the challenges and joys of owning a business. After the successful establishment of his Bar-B-Clean service, Ron and his wife, Michelle, sought a new venture that would complement their existing offerings. The answer came in the delightful form of Alsies Ice Cream Truck, now a cherished icon in the neighborhoods of Alpharetta, Milton, and beyond.

From Backyard BBQs to Ice Cream Delights

Ron Bain's journey in the service industry began with Bar-B-Clean, a business that specializes in grill cleaning and maintenance, aiming to enhance the outdoor living experience for families. Though initially seeking a non-food-related addition to their business portfolio, Ron was introduced to Alsies—an opportunity he couldn't resist exploring. Despite its divergence from his original vision, the concept of an ice cream truck with a modern flair proved irresistible.

After meeting with the franchising team, Ron was quickly captivated by their forward-thinking approach and genuine passion. This encounter led to the signing of his franchise agreement in April 2025, with Ron’s first ice cream truck hitting the roads by June of last year.

Innovative Features for a Classic Experience

What sets Alsies Ice Cream Truck apart from its traditional counterparts is its modernized approach to business. The trucks are not just vehicles of frozen treats, but ambassadors of joy and community spirit. Alsies innovates with a unique app that alerts neighborhood residents of the truck's schedule. This technology-driven approach ensures that families can easily partake in the nostalgic joy of hearing the ice cream truck’s melody, complete with an app-based route tracker.

The careful curation of Alsies' menu also reflects a balance between beloved classic treats and gourmet indulgences. Signature items like the Cookie Monster ice cream sandwich and gourmet offerings such as the 'Not Fried Chicken' ice cream delight cater to both children and adults with refined tastes.

Creating Lasting Memories

Beyond the treats, Alsies Ice Cream Truck is about creating memorable experiences. As Ron often reflects, the joy of running the truck is in the smiles and laughter of kids and their families. Special events, such as school gatherings and neighborhood parties, amplify this mission, transforming ordinary days into moments of celebration.

A Future Bright with Expansion

With two trucks already serving the greater Alpharetta area, Ron is committed to expanding further, envisioning up to seven trucks in the coming years to meet the area's growing demand. This expansion signifies more than just business growth—it represents Ron and Michelle’s dedication to spreading joy and creating community connections.
